The net is closing on fabled American beast Bigfoot – thanks to scientific data collated by a Birmingham man. Toby Langford has used his maths and physics background to track the half ape, half mountain man. And the 45-year-old, who, until recently, worked in the payment department of an insurance company, has posted videos of his findings on YouTube.
Armed with the data, the Great Barr statistician and his partner Marie will head to America to search for Bigfoot. Despite his painstaking research, Toby, a Birmingham University physics graduate, is yet to be convinced Bigfoot is more than an American myth. “Some people believe in Bigfoot, some people don’t,” says Toby, “I’m sitting on the fence. “That’s the problem with our species. If a video is too clear, you think it’s fake; if it’s too grainy, it’s fake. “I think it’s very difficult to dismiss eye-witness accounts. These people know they haven’t seen a bear because it’s seven feet tall and standing upright.
This Account came in through the Beasts of Britain Blog: “Hi there… Happy New Year, I’m not sure what this was but here’s a possible encounter that happened to myself and some friends when we were children.
At the time this happened I was around 11 yr old and this happened around 1983/4…
I live in Liverpool UK and grew up in a place called Halewood. There is a fairly large woodland that is intersected by a disused rail line. As far back as I can recall the railway has been out of use, we played there a lot as kids. The woods were a creepy place but lots of us would regularly frequent them, climbing trees or riding our bikes, just doing normal kid stuff, making a racket most day’s. In some parts of the wood the trees grew closely together and were very thick, making it hard to manoeuvre through them, or even enter into them in some places…
FIRST it was UFOs, then Claws the big cat, now it seems Suffolk’s weird and wonderful countryside could be hiding a bear!
Three visitors to the notoriously paranormal Rendlesham Forest have contacted The Evening Star to say they have spotted the creatures roaming in the woods in the last few days. Already UFO experts firmly believe Suffolk is a portal for visiting alien craft – and flying saucers are hovering in the county’s skies daily.
WELCOME to Haunted Wirral, a feature series written by world famous psychic researcher, Tom Slemen for the Globe.
In this latest tale, Tom explores Wirral’s werewolves…
No rational system of explanation can currently throw any light on the werewolf phenomenon.
How can a person change into an animal and afterwards revert to a human being again?
Our DNA contains the DNA of many ‘lower’ animals, and believe it or not, when the human genome was finally sequenced in 2003, it was discovered that humans, dogs and wolves share 84% of the same DNA.
In theory, a werewolf could be created by genetically modifying a human with lupine DNA, but this would take time, whereas the bona fide werewolf undergoes metamorphosis within the minute.
Werewolf log part 11
Search area- Zone 1and 2, Nuney Green
Weather- Overcast but clear, good visibility
Search time- 12.45 to 13.50 hours
A lot of new activity today, I saw at least two big trees that were pushed over and also a large pile of Fir tree branches on the ground, almost as if arranged in some sort of bedding or maybe for some other purpose? I also noticed some of the trees have had their bark stripped off as well? As I walked the area I also found what looked like two makeshift shelters? I have found out recently someone has bought a patch of the wood in zone 2 and is building a log cabin, his property has been fenced off and judging by the damage around the fence line something has not taken kindly to this. Im unsure what the “structures” I found are and I would welcome any input from the readers.
