I was contacted on 13/1/16 by Mark Farnell who wished to report his account of something that happend to him and his friend when they were young boys living in the Tarleton Area of Lancashire. As most of us did back then he was out with his mates, a day in the local woods would bring us a lot of joy and excitement, on this occasion they got a little more excitement than they initially planned for. Whilst playing amongst the trees they noticed a strange “hunched hairy creature” watching them.
Witness Account: Mark Farnell: Back in July of 1996, when I was 13 years of age, my friend and I witnessed something in the local woods of the small village I lived in that to this very day I can not explain. I have tried to work out what I saw and like many people in the UK who have seen a similar thing I can only describe it as an “Ape like human looking creature covered in hair”.
PARK officials have denied a Bigfoot-like creature is on the loose in Wanstead’s woods after a “strange and hairy” bear-like animal was spotted by a fisherman. Trainee fitness instructor Michael Kent said he was “stunned” when he saw the “hairy, dark creature” during an evening fishing trip in the Hollow Ponds area of Epping Forest, on the border between Wanstead and Leytonstone.
Mr Kent, 18, said: “I was there with my dad and brother. I was walking over to where my brother was when I heard this rustling sound. “I looked over and saw this strange, dark figure that resembled a bear. It was hunched over and I could see it had a really hairy back. I think it must have heard me and scampered off into the bushes after a couple of seconds. “It was getting dark but I still managed to get a good look at it. It was about 4 ft tall, so it was too small to be human, but not the right shape to be a deer, it didn’t have long legs or anything like that.
In this video I take a look at the historic village of Burley in the New Forest, UK. It’s the home of British witchcraft surrounded by glorious ancient woodland, I come across several tree structures and possible Forest People evidence. by Alison Crocker.
In a small corner of Yorkshire within walking distance of each other there are two similar woods, in a similar setting with very similar accounts, they both happened to boys who were splaying out with their friends in these woods, they were all making noise and playing on rope swings, swinging across the streams, they each in turn encountered strange unexplainable figures that stood watching them, then chasing the boys out and away from the area. They were both chased off and it seems “not caught” although I think it would of been very easy to catch them if that was the plan.. This behaviour seems to imply a diversion rather than an attack. As you will see in both cases, the boys who reported the incidents and the areas themselves have many things in common. Children outside with friends enjoying the woodlands are a common source of witness reports. As you will see from the MAP OF UK Accounts they are not alone.
Reported by a witness to Charmaine Fraser: Jan 2015, The incident occurred around 1970: I know thats a while ago now, but I have never forgotten about it so even now Im confident about what happened and what I saw.
“About 45 years ago I was with my then girlfriend and we were parked on a forestry road at the junction of Langdykes Brae and Porters Brae on the road to Cults. The area is heavy Woodlands and is an area used for Forestry. Now this junction we were parked up in is about 1.5 miles from Kennoway in Fife.
Original Source: Tom Slemen, Writes, one afternoon, I gave a talk about ghosts to a group of schoolkids at a library in Liverpool. Afterwards, a school girl asked me: ‘What’s the oldest ghost ever?’ The innocent question set me thinking. Anne Boleyn’s ghost is allegedly still being seen, 469 years after her death in 1536. An apparition said to be that of Boudicca is regularly seen in Lincolnshire. I also remembered the strange account of a heating engineer named Harry Martindale, who was working in the cellar of the medieval Treasurer’s House in York in 1953, when he was startled to hear a trumpet call. Mr Martindale watched in absolute terror as a Roman soldier marched through a wall, followed by an officer on horseback with about 16 other soldiers trailing behind him. Mr Martindale cowered in a corner as he watched the eerie scene and noticed that the ghosts were marching thigh-deep in the cellar floor. He later discovered the Romans had been marching along a road which ran under the treasury. This road had long been buried, which explained why all the ghosts – with the exception of the horse-mounted officer – were visible from the thighs up.
