I am a researcher and cryptozoologist based in the North West of England. I have collected and mapped over 35 years more than 450 British Bigfoot Accounts . I have spoken to hundreds of witnesses and their accounts can be found here or by searching British Bigfoot Map. If you have had an experience or would like more information on the British Bigfoot please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I was in contact today with a lovely lady who I shall refer to as Isabella, before I continue I would like to keep Isabella’s identity and area a secret, as the account unfolds you will no doubt understand why.
The witness herself was happy to be named, but we both decided in the interest of our Forest Friends Anonymity was probably the best route to take. I can’t thank Isabella enough for allowing me to share this moving and inspiring account with you all.
According to an article in the Daily Star Newspaper
Chilling accounts of the UK’s own Bigfoot are fairly common, and many claim to have spotted a glimpse of an ape-like creature roaming the countryside. It comes just months after a photographer told Daily Star Online that he may have captured the first ever footage of a Bigfoot roaming the British countryside.
One such bizarre sighting has been reported by monster hunter Jonathan Downes, who says he had a very “peculiar” encounter which he “still can’t explain” today. While investigating a string of sightings at Bolam lake near Newcastle in Northumberland he claims to have seen an man-like person leaping through a bog.
Just a short note to say that this morning I had to go out and I had headed to the Village to mail Christmas packages in time for the Xmas post. When I returned, to my surprise there were a couple of whip-ends of cherry branches laid against the front door. They were very delicate fronds with a few dried leaves still attached to them.
I had done a clear-up on the weekend to take up the last of the Autumn rubble and leaves, so I knew it was all neat and tidy out there meaning these whip ends stood out plainly as having been placed on the door sill. In fact, there are no cherry trees about and these had to have been “imported.” I am unsure where they came from.
This account was kindly passed to me by Chris J. Huff writer and researcher of all thing strange who came across the story when researching accounts for his work into the paranormal accounts across the UK.
Witness Statement: I almost fell out of my chair when I read your intriguing story and the account of the “hard stand” monster at RAF Alconbury. Just tonight, my father shared with me his stories about this base and it prompted me to do the internet search that brought me to your message. I think you’ll find my father’s experiences at this air force base in the early 1970s very interesting.
He was the NCOIC of a group of 3 men and their dogs, charged with guarding bunkers within a large, fenced area. I believe that nuclear warheads were stored beneath many of these bunkers. One foggy night my father got a radio call that there was an intruder within the perimeter and shots were fired.
It was the summer of 1996 when people in the Torbay village of Churston, Devon, started to report seeing a Bigfoot-like beast in the dense, creepy woodland. What were these people experiencing? Was it a Bigfoot? Was it all a hoax? Was it mass-hallucination? We here at British Bigfoot Research hoped to find out when we visited the area last year.
I grew up in the countryside near Essex, UK. Back then we lived in a very rural area surrounded by thick woods and fields. There were rivers and streams and fields. There was a small farm down a single track road. My first encounter of this thing that I can only describe as a beast was in our garden at about 11.30pm when I was about 13/14.
This report came into me in early November 2017: I was contacted today by Mr. G. B. and he asked me if any of our researchers were out on an investigation in the Holway Woods area of Dorset. I advised Mr B that none of our teams were out there this weekend, in fact I checked amongst the Dorset researchers and nobody had been out in that area that we know of.
Mr B went on to explain “I decided to take the dog out for a run today and we set off in the car. We arrived at Holway Woods, everything was quiet and it was a normal cold wet day. I didn’t see anyone else out there that day no people around and no cars in the car park. But I had only been out of the car for a few minutes when I heard what I can only describe as a whoop? It stood out to me as unusual and i turned round expecting to see people but nobody was back there?
BRISTOL, United Kingdom — A Bristol resident says he witnessed an ape-like creature as it ate a piece of food with what he believes were improvised eating utensils. 58-year-old Harry, a retired man in Somerset County, who provided a last name but chose to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News, that he was walking through the Leigh Woods Nature Reserve on August 17 when the following event took place. “I usually take my dog, but lately I have avoided taking her there because she has been getting very skittish for some unknown reason,” said Harry. According to the man, he suddenly began hearing noises as if someone was “snapping twigs” and “making squeaky sounds”. “I thought it may have been a deer, so I went off the path to look,” he recalls. “This is when I saw this strange ape creature. It was sitting in the brambles, digging in the earth with a twig.” Reportedly, the alleged animal did this for about 5 minutes, then picked something up and began eating it. Harry believes this was a piece of raw meat.
Update of an earlier report, and area check by D. Howe
I don’t have too many details for this account, and although it is quite short, the description in my opinion sounds undoubtedly like a British Bigfoot Account: The witness and her husband were visiting the Forest of Bowland, an area popular with walkers and ramblers alike.
The witness stated: I was on a rambling holiday with my husband and we wanted to walk the Dunsop Bridge Tramper Trail. It was a nice day, and ideal for walking.
