I am a researcher and cryptozoologist based in the North West of England. I have collected and mapped over 35 years more than 450 British Bigfoot Accounts . I have spoken to hundreds of witnesses and their accounts can be found here or by searching British Bigfoot Map. If you have had an experience or would like more information on the British Bigfoot please contact me at email@example.com
New in today by the wonderful blog Beasts of Britain, Andy is one of the leading pioneer’s in the subject of the British Bigfoot, and has himself done many hours of outdoor research and is influential in bringing this subject to the fore of the UK’s Fortean thinking, I would like to thank Andy for his time and effort, late nights and wet days, trudging muddy fields and marshy ground, in the pursuit of evidence. And his unbending three thinking attitude, like the explorers of old.
I am giving this account on behalf of my father, who sadly passed away some years ago, this incident stayed with him for years, I was a small child at the time, but I can still remember the day clearly, and I remember the effect it had on my father who was not a man I had ever seen scared:
In was back in the 70’s we had been out for the day and it was on the return journey he saw it. We were driving our usual route and well it all happened driving up Carrick Hills just few miles outside Maybole Ayrshire. We were on the top road coming back from Ayr. My Dad was driving and my Mam was in the passenger seat, us kids in the back bored stiff, ready to be home, he was almost home and he cut over the hills to go on to the bottom road.
Witness account: I was over Cannock chase with a girlfriend about 25 years ago on a warm summers night when she noticed something in the tree line watching us? And honestly when I looked, it looked like a large man in a fur coat standing in the trees watching us, when I turned on the car lights “it” ran deeper in to the trees. “He” was very big and it did look as though he was sloughed over as well, (leaning forward) the side of him as I saw him through the trees looked like a bodybuilder. I didn’t hear anything on the night, strange not even when he moved through the trees. I never knew there were strange things happening over the chase until one of my friends mentioned it about a year ago. This happened to me close to the German Cemetery at Cannock.
According to the Daily Mail Newspaper a man has survived the terror of being alone in a Russian Forest. The Paper stated:
A Russian man has revealed he survived for five days and nights in temperatures of minus 30C after getting lost in a forest – thanks to his smoking habit. Woodcutter Andrey Anufriev, 31, lost his way near Snezhinsk in the Chelyabinsk region, after wandering off the relieve himself during a shift. Anufriev was ‘delirious’ and ‘an hour from death’ when he was finally found by rescuers after eating snow to survive.
Weather- 4.5c to 6c, clear and sunny but later on some cloud cover, visibility very good
Well today was a quick search of Nuney Green, zone 1, my favourite area or old stomping ground. It’s New Year and I thought a quick visit was in order just to show my furry friends last year was not a one off but part of an ongoing process; my ultimate goal is to finally somehow get a Werewolf close enough and take some photos which I hope will show irrefutable proof of these guys. How I do this or how I get them to come to me in a friendly fashion is still a work in progress.
He described the “thing” as wolf like, it was dark, hairy and crouched over, as the witness backed off the almost doglike thing growled at him, This account is one of the many “wolf like” creature reports in the UK.
The Beast of Cannock Chase is back – and on the hard-shoulder. Motorists on Junction 10A of the M6, near Cannock, jammed Highways Agency helplines one Wednesday morning, with reports of a ‘wolf-like creature’ racing between lanes at rush hour. Motorists looked on in disbelief as the three-foot long creature, described as ‘greyish black’, raced between lanes, dodging stunned motorists before diving for cover in nearby trees. Highways Agency staff joined motorway police to hunt for the creature and later stated the ‘beast’ was likely to be a husky dog. But a spokes person at Saga Radio, whose eye-in-the-sky traffic reports were the first to clock the event, said: “Highways staff said that it was probably a husky dog. But everyone who saw it is convinced it was something more than a domestic dog.
On 1 December 1987, Philip Spencer, a retired policeman saw and photographed what he believed was an alien being on the Moor. He said he saw the strange creature rush up the hill and give a signal to him with one of its arms as if telling him not to approach. He later saw a dome-topped craft at the top of the hill after following the being which shot into the air at a blinding speed. The Daily Telegraph included this event in a 2011 list of “Top 10 UFO incidents in the UK”. http://ahk42.com/podcast/
Hi Deborah, I have followed your page and youtube channel etc for a while now. And to be honest I always found Bigfoot in the UK a bit of a push to believe, but I am very open minded and am quite well known in Big Cat Research in the Southeast. So I am used to being out in the wilds. I have camped out in many places overnight and spent days out in the woods in the search of Britain’s Large Cats. I know the diverse habitats in the UK and i understand how large intelligent animals can stay hidden from people and thrive quite easily. I’m used to Bush crafting and nature’s structures and even I am finding things I can’t explain, Like the night in question, i’m not claiming it was a wild man or a cat, i’m simply stating some very strange things happened that night, that I can not explain them.
