Cryptozoology News reports RAVENNA, Ohio — A woman in Ohio on Thursday said she saw a “huge” flying creature.
The 23-year-old woman, who provided a full name but asked to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News she was driving with her fiance when they spotted the oddity on Wednesday at about 5.45 p.m..
“We were waiting at a red light. It flew over the hospital building,” she said.
The eyewitness described the being as two to three times the size of their vehicle.
“It had elbow-like wings. It was darker than the sky and the wings were huge,” she added.
She explained that the unidentified animal was only visible for about 10 seconds.
“I ‘m glad we both saw it, not just one of us,” she said.
Last week, a Wisconsin man claimed to have seen a bird that resembled a “pterodactyl”.
‘Pterodactyl’ Sighting in Wisconsin
A Wisconsin man claims he saw an unidentified creature he believed looked like a “pterodactyl”.
The anonymous man said he and his father were driving home last August at about 2 p.m. when they came upon the creature.
“We had dropped my mom at some place she would be at for the week. 30 minutes into the five-hour drive, I saw a weird thing flying in the sky,” he wrote.
The eyewitness says the animal was approximately 6 feet tall and had “skin instead of feathers on its wings.”
“Like a bat,” he said. “It looked like a pterodactyl or some kind of angel.”
He added that he wasn’t able to gather video evidence but that there could be other eyewitnesses.
Last month, a Texas man said he had seen a dinosaur bird.
In 1890, Arizona newspaper The Tombstone Epitaph reported that two ranchers had allegedly killed a “winged monster” similar to an “alligator” in the desert between the Whetsone and Huachuca mountains.
In 1927, a similar event reportedly took place in the Australian town of Fernvale when a few giant birds visited the area, causing panic among the town’s residents.
In August 2015, a man in Michigan claimed to have seen a “giant bird” with a 10-foot wingspan.
In July 2015, two people in Nevada reported seeing a creature that reminded them of a pterosaur, a flying reptile believed to have gone extinct about 65 million years ago.
Two weeks later, a minister and her daughter claimed to have seen an unidentified flying creature that looked like it was “straight out of Jurassic Park”.
Thunderbird, also known as Roc, is the nomenclature used by Native Americans to refer to bird-like creatures with reptile features that are believed to be related to the extinct pterosaurs.
