“About 45 years ago I was with my then girlfriend and we were parked on a forestry road at the junction of Langdykes Brae and Porters Brae on the road to Cults. The area is heavy Woodlands and is an area used for Forestry. Now this junction we were parked up in is about 1.5 miles from Kennoway in Fife.
Myself along with Chris Turner, Darren Howe, and Rob Leigh visited the areas of the Sightings and a number of Forested Areas along the River Tay, Before travelling North to visit Isabella at her habituation site. It was a very long drive North but worth every hour just to see not only Isabella and thank her for sharing her wonderful Journals with me, but also to see the site and to walk where our Forest Friends have walked. There are not words to describe how beautiful this area was, and how easy it would be to hide away unseen in any number of thick forested areas, streams, brooks and burns abound with multiple food sources and wildlife. Travelling South back to our base camp we visited a number of the woodlands to see how diverse they were and we were not disappointed. There were many Hares running the roads and lanes, along with Deer and Pheasant, Grouse, Geese, Boar, Squirrels and Pine Martens to name just a few, along with well stocked Rivers and Lochs, High Mountain ranges and rich deep Valleys it is no wonder this area is one of the oldest areas in the UK to have Lore and written accounts of our Wild Folk. We continued South along the Green Corridor in to the Lake District and the sighting areas there.
Adam Bird, founder of BRITISH BIGFOOT RESEARCH on Facebook has shared some interesting stuff in the past. This latest photo he came across actually looks like the North American Bigfoot. According to Bird, this photo is known as the ‘Skene Gorilla’, named after Loch Skene, where it was taken. Here is the story, from the ‘Aberdeenshire Press & Journal:
An anonymous photographer snapped this picture which he claims is a Gorilla stalking the shores of Loch Skene in Aberdeenshire. The snapper is quoted as saying: “I do not want to be named in case my sanity is questioned”. He continued: “I was indulging in my favourite pastime of photography. I was returning to my car when I noticed some movement in a clearing of forest. Thinking it was a deer, I got my camera ready. As I looked closer I realised I was staring at what can only described as a large ape.”
The witnesses first instinct was to run: “I believe if I had stayed for longer I could have taken some clearer photos but at the time I was more concerned for my own well being than getting the perfect shot.”He described the animal as “no bigger than the average person but very wide across the shoulders. The only thing I am sure of is that it was some type of ape. From my limited knowledge, I believe the ape I witnessed could come close to resembling a gorilla.”
Until Next Time, Deborah
First of all thank you for allowing me to share my experience. What follows is my true account of what happened to myself and my friend Andy in late August early September of 2011.
I have attached two images one is a map of Bonaly with a RED X marking the camping spot and the other is a picture of the reservoir with a RED x marking the camping spot there.
Exeter, Devon EX6, UK. I thought of an incident that occurred several years ago on the edge of Dartmoor and I think it may be of some interest to you. I have never really been able to make much sense of it but thought you may be interested. I’m writing this account around 12 years after it occurred, however I can remember it quite clearly, I think it was around 1998 – 1999, I was staying at the Haldon Lodge caravan site near Kenford in Devon
A man in England was surprised by a monkey-like animal he says came out of the woods in the county of Suffolk. Bury St Edmunds resident Geoff Knights says he was looking for “big cat signs” in the Offton woods, near Stowmarket, when the creature showed up on Aug. 14. “I have seen one big cat and several pug marks (name used for animal footprints) too,” Reportedly, he began hearing primate vocalisations and “crashing” sounds coming from the thick vegetation. “I heard it as clear as day. A monkey going woow woow. over and over Then I turned and saw it.”
