A gentleman who was visiting Cannock Chase in Staffordshire came across some very strange finds. He contacted me by email and kindly agreed to share the images of the finds he came across that day, “I had also heard wood knocking in this area, it didn’t sound like a woodpecker, a much slower and a heavier sound of something being struck. I would be surprised if it was children responsible for the structure as the location is quite off the beaten track, away from the well trod areas of Cannock Chase. The collection of bones (sheep or deer?) was kind of bizarre too I can’t see a reason for them being there inside the structure.
The old dolls head was found lying in the dirt nearby. The immediate area had a sinister feel to it, quite an unnerving atmosphere for some reason. There is quite an extensive series of old mine shafts under this location. As for the pugmarks/footprints I found those at the Shoal Hill common a site unconnected to the other pictures, possibly a big cat? there was only the one print visible.
Hello, A little background about myself before I get into my story, my name is Shylah, and I am a 23 Year old guy and from the West Midlands of England in the UK. Now, I don’t live far from a place called Cannock Chase, which is where my encounter took place.
It happened when I was 19 years of age. I had just completed a new album and, at that age and with any excuse, me and my friends, Peggy, Rosalind, my boyfriend James & his friends Francis & Aymon, took the opportunity to have a little private celebration in the Chase.
We went to our local Off-licence, bought some booze, and off we went for an all-nighter in the woods, as is the norm for teens.
We got to our usual spot around 10 pm and started drinking. About an hour had passed, we were getting tipsy and having a good time, playing my new tunes from James’s Bluetooth speaker, when all of a sudden Peggy screamed… I was shocked and asked: “What the bloody hell is wrong with you?!”
She said: “I swear I have just seen a bear by that log!”

The Caveman of Castle ring 500 B.C. and A.D. 40
While reports of Bigfoot-like hairy wild men abound throughout Britain, there is one area of the country that seems to attract more than its fair share of such activity: Castle Ring, in the county of Staffordshire. Located near the village of Cannock Wood and constructed between 500 B.C. and A.D. 40, Castle Ring is an Iron Age structure commonly known as a Hill Fort. It is 801 feet above sea level, and it main ditch and bank enclosure is fourteen feet high and, at its widest point, 853 feet across. Another of our ancient sites here in the UK

Wolf Like Cannock Creature 30/6/06
The Beast of Cannock Chase is back – and on the hard-shoulder. Motorists on Junction 10A of the M6, near Cannock, jammed Highways Agency helplines one Wednesday morning, with reports of a ‘wolf-like creature’ racing between lanes at rush hour. Motorists looked on in disbelief as the three-foot long creature, described as ‘greyish black’, raced between lanes, dodging stunned motorists before diving for cover in nearby trees. Highways Agency staff joined motorway police to hunt for the creature and later stated the ‘beast’ was likely to be a husky dog. But a spokes person at Saga Radio, whose eye-in-the-sky traffic reports were the first to clock the event, said: “Highways staff said that it was probably a husky dog. But everyone who saw it is convinced it was something more than a domestic dog.
