I was contacted by a gentleman on youtube who after hearing one of the video accounts from a witness on the Medway kindly shared his encounter with something strange whilst out on his mountain bike, as regular readers will know, mountain bikers and the mountain bike trails are a great source for witness accounts.
G: Well Deb this is the strange encounter I had in the woods late at night on a solo mountain bike ride in the winter. I will try and make sense of what happened but im not very good at putting things down on paper and its not the easiest thing to explain.. Im pretty sure this was back in 2011 as I was around 18 when it happened. It was definitely during Winter as the woods were bare of shrub and leaves and the muddy/clay ground was a nightmare to ride on . I used to be a very keen extreme mountain biker and I would go out with a group and also solo, My favourite time was the night rides during the winter months at which time I would usually have a lot of fun, but not this night.
While reports of Bigfoot-like hairy wild men abound throughout Britain, there is one area of the country that seems to attract more than its fair share of such activity: Castle Ring, in the county of Staffordshire. Located near the village of Cannock Wood and constructed between 500 B.C. and A.D. 40, Castle Ring is an Iron Age structure commonly known as a Hill Fort. It is 801 feet above sea level, and it main ditch and bank enclosure is fourteen feet high and, at its widest point, 853 feet across. Another of our ancient sites here in the UK
This report came into me via the British Bigfoot Research Group on Facebook and I am still in contact with the gentleman who reported the account back in 2016. At this point the activity around the farms had been happening for a number of years.
Hello Deborah Im reporting this on behalf of a good friend, a friend of mine who lives in a remote Kent farm house along The Medway on The Isle of Grain. My friend has lived at this property a number of years now and they have experienced a number of strange goings on they saw on a few occasions what can only be described as “a large sasquatch type creature” which was on their property on a number of occasions, described as a tall hairy upright creature that looks like a cross between a man and an ape, walking upright on two legs. There is a caravan (mobile home) standing on the property and this has been rocked and banged upon on a few occasions now. I asked my friend to explain what this creature looked like and when they described the height they said “the creature itself at one point has been seen leaning over a Ford escort Van, and even though he wasn’t standings up straight but was in a hunched over position the roof of the van still only came up to the stomach area on this thing.
John Knifton’s Blog reported: In three previous blog posts, I discussed “Shuck”, the huge phantom black dog, who for centuries has roamed, for the most part, the fields, fens and even beaches of East Anglia. I showed, though, that the cryptic canid has also walked on occasion in Nottinghamshire, visiting churchyards and graveyards. He frequents ancient tracks and pathways and, in particular, a lonely footpath down by the River Trent in Beckingham. He has been seen in isolated Crow Lane in South Muskham and, in recent times, on a pitch black Blyth Road, near Hodsock Priory.
These are hairy bipeds with canid features who, like Black Shuck, seem to occur “near freshwater; on hills; at boundary areas such as roads; and on or near burial grounds, and military zones, and all types of sacred areas around the world”: These are the words of Linda S Godfrey in her wonderful book, “Real Wolfmen: True Encounters in Modern America”: Full Article.
Beast of Britain Blog today reported an account that came in to my facebook page. Andy Mcgrath did the work on this account as I was away. He had done a stirling job and I would like to thank him for helping me out.
THE APEMAN OF ABERNETHY FOREST
Satellite Map of Abernethy Forest
Abernethy Forest in Scotland is the largest part of what remains of the Old Caledonian forest, located in Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands, it is an area that comprises 4000 hectares of forest. It has an abundant red and roe deer population and black grouse and the capercaillie (wood grouse) as well as 70 bird species in total. There are otters and pine marten, as well as wildcat and red squirrel, multitudinous rabbits and ample wild food sources, like blackberries, cowberry, crowberry, sorrel and abundant edible fungi. The area has a tiny population, below 5000 people, nearly all of which reside in the towns of Nethy Bridge, Boat of Garten and Aviemore.
NEW IN TODAY. I would like to report a Sighting that happened only yesterday 18/6/18. It was between 1.30pm and 2pm myself and my partner were travelling on the A15 heading towards Lincoln. There’s a layby on the road which is roughly a mile or so from the Hibaldstow turn off. And as we were driving we saw an upright moving figure as we were moving along the road. We saw him about 20 foot past the layby. He was upright on two legs, all black in colour and heading away from the road, he was moving through the reed grasses and on into the bushes where we lost sight of him. I realise it was broad daylight and there was other traffic on the road, so this should not have happened. It wasn’t a dark lonely road at night or in the middle of a vast forest, which is how I’ve been trying to debunk it to myself, but nevertheless I cant talk myself out of what I saw yesterday. It might seem impossible to some but I am certain of what I saw and so is my partner.
I asked the witness to describe what she saw before we chatted so I did not influence her in any way which is something I do with all the people that contact me. I say ‘him’ because his energy was male, at the risk of sounding like a crazy person, I see aura and feel energies amongst other things. His energy continued to intrude in my thoughts for the rest of the day, he knew someone had seen him and he was worried. As for a description he was around 8-9 ft feet tall, and a dead black colour all over.
One other thing to note, I have a dashcam in the car so checked the footage in the hopes we had caught him walking away, and there’s a 4hr gap. My dashcam records anything out of the ordinary, ie: heavier than normal breaking and even when the engines off and stationary the sensor picks up anything close to the vehicle, randomly recording at 5 min intervals. The last recording was at 12.03 just before we set off for the A15 and then nothing until I used the car again around 4pm that night.
Ray Moore Witness Account: Plas Dol Y Moch outward Bound centre.
It would have been about April May 1966 not too cold not quite summer, I was 13. It was my school’s turn for the third year to have Plas Dol Y Moch outward Bound centre for a week, it had been gifted to Coventry Council by an old widow for disadvantaged kids to allow them to experience the wilds of the countryside and is still functioning to this day.
We would go canoeing, rock-climbing, abseiling and all that stuff, it was great. Also we were taught Orienteering, finding our way in the dark through woods using a map and compass.
NEW IN TODAY: In the early hours of the morning on 11/6/2018 a van driver travelling on the road between Warrington and Manchester going about his normal nightly routes saw something crossing the road in front of him that he can not explain, the creature, described as dog like, but bigger than a horse and moving fast shocked the driver, when describing the speed he said “it dusted out of sight in seconds” the sighting has left the man confused as to what he saw and how it could’ve moved away from him so fast. The road itself runs between two nature parks and is surrounded by other strange accounts of skulking road crossing creatures and growls.
The driver himself has no prior interest in cryptids, strange creatures or anything out of the norm really, and to be honest he was very skeptical of a family member who had in the past spoke about a sighting of something unexplained they once had. He now feels less skeptical no doubt.
