My name is mark Thompson and I now live in New Zealand, but originally I lived in England near London, in a town called High Wycombe. My encounter involves the legendary Green Man. The Green Man is a legend of old, and dates back thousands of years just like the native American stories of sasquatch. In my case I grew up next to the Chiltern hills, which span across the southwest to the northwest of London. It is a very dense wooded area and has many legends of the Green Man, Herne the hunter, jack ‘o’ lantern. Willo the wisp, Jack ‘o’ the Green etc. Some parts of the UK were not inhabited until the late 1800’s so forestry was quite big in England.
On location with Paul Sinclair…a short account of unusual incidents off the UK’s East Yorkshire coast – as featured in my book ‘Truth-Proof’. The tragedy of RAF Lightning XS894 from September 1970 has always been controversial, due to its alleged interaction with a UFO over the North Sea. However, my research has uncovered two other strange incidents, all occurring in the same stretch of water within the same timeframe – one involving a family-owned speedboat and another involving an RAF Marine launch…For more information on the UFOs and other anomalies seen around the East & North Yorkshire coastline, read ‘Truth-Proof – The Truth That Leaves No Proof’ by Paul Sinclair ISBN: 978-0957500785 For the website truth proof
Not a Bigfoot Story today folks, but one many people in the UK are unaware of, the mystery disappearance of the lighthouse crew in the remotest place in the UK. This is still a mystery to this day.
On the 26th December 1900, a small ship was making its way to the Flannan Islands in the remote Outer Hebrides. Its destination was the lighthouse at Eilean Mor, a remote island which (apart from its lighthouse keepers) was completely uninhabited. Although uninhabited, the island has always sparked people’s interest. It is named after St. Flannen, a 6th century Irish Bishop who later became a saint. He built a chapel on the island and for centuries shepherds used to bring over sheep to the island to graze but would never stay the night, fearful of the spirits believed to haunt that remote spot.

One of the world’s greatest mysteries is on the cusp of being solved by Otago University Professor Neil Gemmell – whether or not the Loch Ness monster actually exists. For the first time ever, he’s scouring the waters of Scotland’s Loch Ness to capture the DNA of anything and everything living in it. If Nessie is alive and kicking – or paddling – its DNA will be in the lake, and is likely to be picked up by Prof Gemmell and his team. His method involves taking water samples from 300 different locations in the loch, and at different depths.
The Twilight Paranormal Group did some night investigation in Grovely wood, an area of reported wild man activity since the 1800. Whilst there the group experienced some very wildman like activity, Original Source for the full account.
Team Leaders Notes. Grovely Wood is situated on the outskirts of Wilton. With a Roman road cutting straight through the woodland and prehistoric earthworks contained within the area, Grovely also has a historic story to tell. Grovely Woods has two specific and most interesting stories associated with its area. Grovely Wood is a place that I have always wanted to investigate. I have been fascinated by these woods ever since I was a small child as people used to talk about them to each other and about the goings on there. I had only visited the woods once when I took my dog for a walk one afternoon. I was with a friend and although I did feel as if I was being watched, the feeling was not sinister. However my friend was afraid and could not wait for the walk to be over. Other people have also told me stories of their experiences down at Grovely. Recently one of my colleagues told me that she was walking through the woods with her child in a pushchair and her dog. She said that the atmosphere was so intense, she could not bear it. She also felt as if someone was watching her and she turned around and fled from the area as she felt so unsafe. Paranormal Investigator, Vikki has also had many strange and frightening experiences in Grovely wood when she was younger.
A Lady contacted me through Facebook and she shared her story about a strange animal she encountered whilst out walking the dog.
Witness Account: In the early 1990’s I rented part of a large house in the Costwolds in the vicinity of Meon Hill. The house was surrounded by private land and farmland and it afforded me the opportunity to walk my dogs wherever I wanted for as long as I wanted without seeing another soul.
One day I had not long left the house and passed from a mown field into a wild overgrown one when I had an overwhelming feeling that something or someone else was nearby. I stopped and my dogs ran on ahead. I scanned all around me and saw nothing, but such was the feeling of not being alone that I persisted and finally looked further afield to see a gingery head and shoulders just above the long grass.
