An Idaho motorist told the local sheriff’s department that a Bigfoot sighting caused her to crash her car last Wednesday night.
According to Pullman Radio, the woman, who was not identified, told the Latah County Sheriff’s Office that she saw a Sasquatch chasing a deer on a stretch of US-95 outside of Potlatch.
She said the creature was “shaggy” and between 7 and 8 feet tall, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reported.
The woman checked her mirrors to see the Bigfoot, but as her eyes re-adjusted to the road she hit the deer with her Subaru Forester, the newspaper said.
Pullman Radio reported that the woman continued driving, picked up her husband from work then drove to the sheriff’s office to report the incident. Officers did not find any evidence of Bigfoot at the scene of the crash.
The radio station reported that the 50-year-old driver suffered a “minor neck injury.”
Wormwood Tales By Dr. Abner Mality
“It’s a fancy place that old-timers dream about. … Some said the “valley was full of gold and some said it was hot as hell owing to the warm springs. … It had a wicked name too, for at least a dozen folks went in and never came out’ … Indians said it was the home of devils.”
The above quote comes courtesy of famous author John Buchan, who wrote the mystery classic “The 39 Steps”. It sums up very well the enigma of the place we will be visiting today. The area is known on maps as the Nahanni Valley…but in legend, it has the much more ominous name of “Headless Valley”. It did not acquire that name through random chance.
Are there any more lost worlds left to discover in our modern world? Very few, that’s for sure, but in North America, not too many places are better qualified for that description than the Nahanni Valley. It is an incredibly beautiful and rugged location…and absolutely unreachable by conventional means. Even today, the only real access to it comes through single-engine “bush planes” or boat. It is located in Canada’s Northwest Territories, near the border with Alaska and at the southern terminus of the Mackenzie Mountains.
The Independent reported: Jan McGirk joined a team of paranormal investigators to check out reports of 10ft giant apes in the rainforest near Kota Tinggi. This is what they found.
At first glance it might have seemed like nothing. A four-inch impression in the mud of the Malaysian rainforest. On closer inspection, however, it seemed as if it might be the astounding find the expedition had been hoping for. A footprint of the creature known variously as Bigfoot, Sasquatch, the tropical Yeti or – to locals – the Mawas. Said to grow up to 10- feet tall, with an awesome armspan, a trio of these undiscovered hominids were at the centre of a flurry of unconfirmed sightings by frightened plantation workers three months ago. And in the fading light of the Bukit Lantang woods on the fringe of dense forest in Johor state, a single splayed print appeared to offer the most compelling evidence yet that we were on the trail of the mighty beast.
The Carter farm, once upon a time, was only 58.3 acres. Fifty-eight point three acres that the map clearly shows was/is land that stretches along as frontage property adjacent to Reynolds Road. Finding this location was a breeze. No more than 5 miles going south from downtown Madisonville one turns left off of route 411 and proceeds east on Reynolds Road for a short couple of miles. Single wide trailers pepper the road side with an occasional average foundation home placed in the mix. Cattle, horses and donkeys are seen leisurely grazing on two farms before, but close to the Carter farm. This is not a mountainous area by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it what anyone could call, with a straight face occupied by Hillbilly mountain people. This location [the Carter farm] is close to town, close to the highway and consists of a few rolling hills. It is not a mile from the mountainous park as is claimed however the distant mountains can be seen from the farm.
Once immediately passing the Carter farm two trailers [mobile homes] were found on the same side of the road. I drove up to these trailers that bordered the far east side of what is now Philpot’s land and quickly noticed dogs, dogs that were adult and puppies eagerly meeting my vehicle. Here we got out, petted and photographed a couple of these dogs. Not much further down the road another large herd of cattle was noted and around the very next bend ( no more than one half to a mile from the Carter place) we found an Emu farm. Emu’s were observed contently enjoying the pasture far from any cover or concern.
The structures of the farm (house, mobile home, barn, sheds) are located well within a few yards of the road. Janice’s old house also sets close to the road. The door that the alleged Bigfoot [Fox] knocked on requesting garlic is no further than a half of football field from the roads edge. Reynolds Road is newly blacktopped, narrow and curves directly in front of 507, Janice’s old place — local traffic flies around this curve. At night the eastbound traffic’s headlights cannot help but scan across the entire front of the house as they negotiate the turn. Next to the Carter farm property, literally within feet and west of 507 Reynolds Road, approximately a dozen young calves were seen lazing about. The calves were border only by a weak barbed wire fence and drying creek bed. Full Article Here.
Cryptozoology News shared a story from a lady remembering back to her childhood on a day out with her sister who saw something she has never forgotten.
PORTUGAL — A woman in Portugal claims she and her sister saw two Neanderthals. The 83-year-old Serra da Strela resident told Cryptozoology News she and her sister were caring for a herd of cows when they spotted the two “primitive men”. “I was 5 years old and my sister was 8. We were in a remote area in the Serra da Estrela when we saw two naked men speaking a totally strange language,” she said about the 1939 alleged encounter. “Then we saw them entering a cave.”
The following day, she explains, they decided to check out the cave with their sheep dog. “But when we reached the cave our dog didn’t want to go in. He kept growling and my sister wanted to go back. We could smell smoke that appeared to come from inside the cave.”
Later that day, she reports that when they told their father about the incident he became angry. “He told us he already knew about the existence of these people. He said they were the original peoples who survived in a few numbers and were still living in a primitive state. I remember him saying that there were only about half a dozen individuals left.” The “wild people”, as the woman referred to, were described as being naked and had a yellow skin color.
In 2015, a man in North Carolina reported to have seen a 10-feet-tall Neanderthal.
Neandertals were a species of humans believed to have gone extinct about 40,000 years ago. Some people, such as a state trooper from Washington who claimed to feed ape-like animals many refer to as Bigfoot, believe the cryptid could be some sort of “primitive human species”.
Serra da Strela, the highest mountain range in Portugal, is known for their Vodafone ski resort.
I am sure most of you will know Kelly Shaw from RMSO Blogspot and his work on the American Sasquatch. Not only is Kelly an avid outdoors researcher he also collects sightings and witness accounts from across the globe, I was very lucky that Kelly allowed me to share his latest case that came into him from a man named Tom who lives in the North of Germany. The original article is Here.
This account came in to me just in the last two weeks, and like most of the emails I received it was from a person who is used to being in one area a lot and they suddenly notice changes that stand out, unsure where to look for advice they look online, luckily this gentleman saw some of the work you guys have put in out in the field and many of the things we are finding we are unsure whether to dismiss them or not, there is a fragile line between what is claimed as Bigfoot structure and what is mis-identification or word of mouth? So in the hopes of helping get some answers I have reached out to as many bushcrafters as I can in the hopes we can weed out what is bushcraft and whittle down some of the things we need to be looking for. Like all accounts this is in the witnesses own words as he typed them.
I messaged you as I wanted to ask you a couple of questions about man made, or woodcraft that I have found when I am out on my daily runs with my dogs, these look odd to me compared to normal bushcraft? I usually take them into the Afan Forest Valley, I make two runs each day with the dogs, probably five days out of seven we visit this area, so Im used to being in the forest, the sounds and usual finds, but as of late I have noticed some strange things going on and some strange finds, as I mentioned earlier I have found some structures and snaps that I can’t put down to the usual weather or bushcrafters.
As I have three big dogs and they are too strong to take out all at once, I have to rotate the walk. So I spend a good few hours a week in the woods and my house looks over the river and into the forest, which is totally dark at night. You cant see into the treeline when it’s dusk or dark. There have been a couple of times when I’ve been out in this area when we were confronted with the strong smell of sulphur inside the woods, it is a horrible stench that doesn’t seem to be from the ground or any source I could find. This week I have found the most unlikely piece of woodcraft, which is a tree stump, upturned by the wind? which has a pile of broken branches piled against it to provide a small shelter, not randomly like the weather would do but in they had been stacked to lean against the tree. (see video below for all structures)
Isabella here from the high hills of Scotland. I thought I’d try to provide another update as winter closes in.
The local shoot has been in the fields every day since last week – except in the pouring rain when they had to stay by the fire. So it’s not a time for Bigfoot – or me for that matter – to be out and about. The biggest news from this site is that the landowner in our area, [who had his fences torn down if you recall], has apparently decided it was a fluke or random vandalism and is replacing them all. I can only predict that next March they’ll be gone again when the clan demand their territory and the right to roam once more. I suppose we’ll see who wins out. But I know who I’m betting on anyway.
Meanwhile, I thought I’d report on an encounter with a fleeing herd of red deer that happened last spring and might interest your listeners. First, it’s important to say that in this area, we seldom come across the stags. They seem to inhabit the loftiest areas. The hinds are regular visitors in the lower hills though. We see them and their young all the time, a few here and there and mostly at night.
