Growls in the Night, Unknown Animal or a Creature Unseen?

I was chatting with one of my friends who also has an interest in the weird and the wonderful and we were discussing that not only do we get face to face accounts of creatures that come in and the figures that are seen but also the amount of Growls and Howls that get reported across the UK by ordinary people just going about their day, Unexplained Screams, Whoops, Howls and Growls some reported as Screeches or Blood Curdling Groans, my friend went on to tell me his experiences with something unseen that growled at him and his Mother, here is his account in his own words: Me and my mum went on holiday to Devon in the early 90’s possibly around 95 at the time we were on a trip to the Devonshire Coast and one evening we went to visit my Auntie and Uncle and my Cousins as they were staying in another holiday camp not too far away. I remember it was getting a bit late and we knew the entertainment planned by the holiday park for that evening was pretty much the same that we had seen at our camp the previous nights and we decided to go back as we were both hungry and we could get some food on our way back to the camp we were staying at.

Black Weir Pond Epping Forest 1974. Two Boys Have a Terrifying Experience

One of the Witnesses to the British Bigfoot/Wildman has today made a video of his account in Epping Forest in 1974.  NE Wildman Research had an experience back then with a friend when they were fishing in the Blackweir pond area. Known to locals as The Lost Pond or even The Suicide Pond it is an eerie place to be in the daytime, let alone at night with only a pocket knife for protection.

NE Wildman Research: The Lost Ponds is a strange place at the best of times, I have been to that area so many times as a boy with my friends, we would fish late or just play as boys do coming home when we were hungry, there was a weird feeling to this place even in the day but this night it got weirder still.  The lost pond is in the area of Loughton Camp within Epping Forest, one of the old Hill forts from ancient times.

The proper name for the water source was the  Blackweir Pond, but it was known to us locals as the Lost Pond because it is hidden away in the middle of the forest in a hard location to get into and it is not visible to any passers by, there are large trees and bushes all around it, so that’s how it got its name but not its reputation.  Even the pond itself has an eerie feel  It was strange circular-ish pond where we used to fish at night for carp.  I say strange because it had a local and well told reputation at school as the suicide pond,  it always feel dark and solemn when your there to be honest, and its said normal sane individuals would inexplicably be overcome with grief or sadness and throw themselves into the waters and drown themselves for no reason, well that was the local story at least, but we were not deterred from fishing as it was a good little spot, quiet and out of the way. Not many people fished it other than us so it was always a place we would head too, there and “the gravels” were our two favourite spots.

The Henley Invisible Tree Snapper. “it moved through that canopy unseen”

Hello Deborah

Before I recount a second hand story, I’ll give you some background on myself.
I’m new to this subject after being drawn in by videos on You Tube and on channels like ‘impossible visits’ and ‘sasquatch chronicles’. Something of a personal interest to me are the stick and tree structures as I am a tree surgeon by profession, but not just because of my work.  I have also spent many months camping and working in woodland areas when I was younger, so I would consider myself a good judge of what may or may not be ‘natural.  Im used to weather damage in the woods and natural rot and disease.

The Invisible Ones. One mans experience in the Lye Valley. 1997

I was chatting with Nik Hayes who has a wonderful website Quest for the invisible s  Nik had a very strange experience with something he could hear, but could not see in the Lye Valley, that was shadowing him as he walked alone at night, just on Dusk. Here is Nik’s account in his own words.

I was living in the area at the time, down at Wood Farm, and myself and my then partner would often visit the woods at night. We used to go down there all the time, late at night together and we often saw orbs of light moving above the river, as well as through the wooded area, although we never experienced anything as scary as my encounter that evening when I was walking down to Cowley for band practise. It was in 1997 and I am still trying to come to terms with it to this day.

In 1997 I experienced somthing that still puzzles me. I was running a bit late for a band practise at my mates house down in Cowley (Oxford)  The journey involved getting a bus down to the bottom of Cowley Road, then walking quite a distance to his house, (roughly a forty minute journey) I would sometimes walk down to his house through a nature reserve called the Lye Valley, which was a nice walk during the daytime, and I could get to my mates house in about twenty five minutes, and save the bus fare and get in a walk.  There is a Brook running through this area called The Boundary Brook, and also a golf course and another nature area to the East.
