A Wildman Eating – Leigh Woods, Somerset, August 17th, 2015

BRISTOL, United Kingdom — A Bristol resident says he witnessed an ape-like creature as it ate a piece of food with what he believes were improvised eating utensils. 58-year-old Harry, a retired man in Somerset County, who provided a last name but chose to remain anonymous, told Cryptozoology News, that he was walking through the Leigh Woods Nature Reserve on August 17 when the following event took place. “I usually take my dog, but lately I have avoided taking her there because she has been getting very skittish for some unknown reason,” said Harry.  According to the man, he suddenly began hearing noises as if someone was “snapping twigs” and “making squeaky sounds”. “I thought it may have been a deer, so I went off the path to look,” he recalls. “This is when I saw this strange ape creature. It was sitting in the brambles, digging in the earth with a twig.” Reportedly, the alleged animal did this for about 5 minutes, then picked something up and began eating it. Harry believes this was a piece of raw meat.

Bardney, Lincs. Shadowed, Watched and Figures in the Trees? Summer 2017

I would like some advice on an incident that happened earlier in the summer to me and my wife. I wanted to show you some of the photographs I took whilst we were there – I would really like to hear people’s opinions on what, if anything, they can see in them. It did not feel like we were alone that day and that’s why I took the photos. It was around 9.15 in the evening, it was a lovely summers night and I’m not a hundred percent sure, but I think it was late July, early August. We are lucky in that we have quite a lot of small woodlands in the area if you google Southrey, Lincolnshire you will see. My wife and I had been for a walk with the dog and we had parked the car just of road that heads to Bardney.

Update of an earlier report, and area check by D. Howe

Pendle Startrails

I don’t have too many details for this account, and although it is quite short, the description in my opinion sounds undoubtedly like a British Bigfoot Account:   The witness and her husband were visiting the Forest of Bowland, an area popular with walkers and ramblers alike.

The witness stated:  I was on a rambling holiday with my husband and we wanted to walk the Dunsop Bridge Tramper Trail. It was a nice day, and ideal for walking.

The Cleadon Bigfoot Accounts, Hairy Geets N.E. England, 2002-2003

Like Woodwose or Wudwusa, Geet is a regional name for giant or great.

A couple of interesting reports from the Cleadon Area in the North East. Situated between countryside and shore, with an abundance of resources and cover, Cleadon would seem an ideal place for an encounter – but to have two separate witnesses report similar accounts at the same time to separate sources, speaks to the fact that something 7ft tall and hairy, that looks like a man, is walking the country roads of Cleadon. Locally it is known as the “Geet”, which is another of the names used to describe upright, hairy bi-pedal figures.

The Cleadon Geet 2002/3

What happened took place when I was aged 16.  I’m from Whitburn and had been to see my girlfriend who lived in East Boldon. It’s a bit of a walk so I used to catch the last bus which was at around 11pm, and I often used to miss it, meaning I’d have to walk home, which took around an hour. My well used and normal route was to walk along Cleadon Lane, a dark country road heading into Whitburn. It was a bit over grown with no lighting so you couldn’t see clearly – it was an eerie place to walk.

Ambresbury Banks, Epping, Strange Happenings in the Woods

Ambresbury Banks between the Wake arms Roundabout and Epping is another late Iron Age earthwork in the area of Loughton, where I spent much of my teenage years. The fort encompasses an area of 4.5 hectares (11 acres) and is surrounded by a bank of up to 2 m in height, and an impressive ditch in places, which today is quite shallow but once was up to three metres deep and six metres wide. The site has been examined archaeologically 9 times, the first excavation conducted by Augustus Pitt-Rivers in 1881. The defences today have 6 major breaks in their circumference: only one appears to be original. This is approached from the north west by a trapezoidal causeway. The ends of the bank at this point were revetted with coursed pudding stone blocks.

Finds at the site have included flints and flint arrow heads and shards of red, grey and black pottery, which suggest a construction date of around 700 BC and occupation until 42 AD. The hill fort today lies in Epping Forest although it is right next to the B1393 Epping to Loughton road. The area within is completely wooded and crossed by a few paths which are supposed to be only for walkers, for Ambresbury Banks is a scheduled monument, but some use them for motorbikes and cycles because they don’t seem to care about the past.

Whistles and Stones Thrown. Loch Lomond 2017 British Bigfoot or Ghost on the Loch?

I would like to report something that happened to me and a friend when we were fishing the lochan last month. We are two fisherman from Scotland and we were fishing for pike in a small lochan within the Loch Lomond National Park. It’s something we both enjoy doing, and we try to get outdoors whenever we can.

Morpeth Mystery Screams and Structures, 2003 – and area follow up 2017

Witness Statement: Borough Woods is a small area in the north east of England, not far from Morpeth and I guess about ten miles, maybe less from Bolam Country Park. Fields and small woods follow the river and it is an area close to the country parks.  I’m a fellow researcher and an avid FT reader, plus I work in the area, so naturally, I was regaling a couple of my colleagues with the story of “the beast” – only one or two of the local project officers had heard of it. Explaining the sightings from witnesses and the area itself.

Torphins Aberdeen – A Huge Hairy Figure Chases Car, July 1994

(Posted in The Fortean Times 2006) Local men, Pete and George, were walking through a forestry track in woods near their home in Torphins, Aberdeen.  When they were nearing the end of the track, Pete saw a dark figure run from the trees on the left across the track, before disappearing into the trees on the right. At first Pete thought it was a man but the figure left a strange foreboding in him.  George did not see the figure and was busy telling Pete he was imagining things when a face appeared from the trees behind Pete’s back and looked right at George. George was chilled to the bone as the face “looked human, but was not human”. It darted away just as quickly,  and for some reason George threw a large stone in it’s direction. The two friends then left the area feeling somewhat unnerved, but as it was a walk they had to do on a regular basis, they knew they would have to return.

Kielder Forest – Continuing Accounts

Kielder Forest

Early November 2017: I was contacted today by a gentleman from the outdoors community whom I have known for many years. I have a great respect for him and I have come to trust and value his opinion in regards to structures found or witness reports. We chat back and forth on occasion by email, and today he passed on the details of another outdoors-man (S.B.) who has been having some strange experiences in Kielder Forest. I will add his YouTube channel so you can view the areas in question.

Nairn Valley Big Hairy Thing – Multiple Sightings

A Local Researcher’s Account: I was in the Clava Cairns area today and spoke to a croft owner who has a croft at the north end of the railway viaduct that runs over the river Nairn. Whilst discussing this month’s wild man sighting at Clava Cairns, Witness A stated that he had seen the same figure also. He told our researcher that he had seen ‘the big hairy man’ walking along the railway line in a southerly direction from the forestry behind his croft towards the viaduct/cairns on quite a few occasions, but he couldn’t be pinned down to an exact number of times!  He also said his dogs were going nuts each time. Also with the witness was another man who wished to remain anonymous for reason that will become clear.
